Jamaican Odean Smith is one of nine players retained by the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the new season of the Caribbean Premier League T20.
Smith has been retained along with Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd, Shai Hope, Keemo Paul, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Gudakesh Motie, Matthew Nandu and Junior Sinclair.
Meanwhile, fast bowler Sheldon Cotterell has been retained by the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Another Jamaican Oshane Thomas has been drafted as part of the local retention list along with Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, Sherfane Rutherord, Dominic Drakes and Joshua da Silva. The CPL is set to get underway on August 16 and will run until September 24.
Matches will be played in Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago. The overseas players and draft picks will be announced during the CPL draft show in June.
