England-based centre court player Brie Grierson is the only newcommer named in the Sunshine Girls 15-member squad for next month's 3-game Sunshine Series against South Africa at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
Grierson will represent Nottingham Forrest netball in next year's English Super League. The squad also sees a return for ace goal shooter Shimona Jok, formerly Nelson and centre court player Adean Thomas.
The group which will be led by Shamera Sterling-Humphrey, is completed by Shanice Beckford, Rhea Dixon, Mischa Creary, Simone Gordon, Abigale Sutherland, Khadijah Williams, Crystal Plummer, Layanya Wilson, Jody-Ann Ward, Theresa Beckford and Kimone Shaw.
The games are set for January 18, 22 and 25 at the National Indoor Sports Centre. The teams will be vying for the Margaret Beckford Trophy.
The Sunshine Girls are coming off a 2-1 series victory over England in their recent Horizon Series which propelled them to third in the world rankings.
They will need to win the upcoming series to maintain their world ranking, as the South Africans who are currently ranked 5th, will meet England in the Quad Series in February.
