2021 RJRGLEANER Sportsman of the Year Hansle Parchment and Shericka Jackson are among three Olympic champions already confirmed to compete at the Racers Grand Prix on June 3 at the National Stadium in Kingston, according to meet organiser Glen Mills.
Parchment, who won Olympic gold at the Tokyo Games in 2021, is set to contest the 110 metre hurdles.
Jackson, the reigning world 200 metre champion and the fastest woman alive in the event, is set to grace the track in the 100 metres.
Jackson, is also the world championships silver medallist in the 100m and ended 2022 as the second fastest woman with a personal best of 10.71 seconds.
South African 400 metres world record holder Wayde van Niekerk is set to run the one lap event.
The Racers Grand Prix is making a return after a four year absence brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
