Reggae Boyz Michael Hector, Bobby Reid and Fulham have been promoted to the English Premier League after defeating Brentford 2-1 in extra time in the Championship playoff final at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday.
The promotion will take the number of Jamaican internationals in the English top flight to three as the duo will join Leicester City's club captain Wes Morgan. Team manager of the Reggae Boyz Roy Simpson is delighted for the successes of Hector and Reid.
Meanwhile, football analyst and former statistician of the Reggae Boyz Machel Turner has also stated the promotion augurs well ahead of the World Cup qualifiers next year. The 2020/2021 season of the English Premier League kicks off on September 12.
This will be Reid's second season in the Premier League after playing for Cardiff City in 2018/2019, while it will be Hector's first season in the top flight after spending seven seasons in the Championship which has also comprised 15 loan spells.
