After appearances in the 2015 and 2016 editions of the Copa America, the Reggae Boyz will have the opportunity once again to play in the competition, this time in 2019. CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez has confirmed that three CONCACAF teams will play in the tournament next year.
The other 13 spots will be allocated with three going to teams from the Asian Football Confederation and ten from South America. Jamaica can book their spot into this tournament with a top three finish in the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The 2019 Copa America will be played in Brazil from June 14 to July 7. Jamaica has lost all six games they have played, in this competition.
