Australia have charged West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels and banned Australian spin legend Shane Warne for one match following their altercation in the Australia big bash on Sunday.
Samuels has been charged with making 'inappropriate and deliberate physical contact' and has been asked to explain his 'unbecoming behaviour’.
Warne who was charged for 'using obscene language, offensive or of a generally insulting nature to another player, official or spectator' has been banned for one match. Samuels is yet to attend his hearing.
On Sunday, Samuels who plays for the Melbourne Renegades incited the anger of Melbourne stars Captain Warne after holding back David Hussey from a possible second run in their innings of 146 for 9.
Warne confronted Samuels when he came to the crease to bat grabbing him by his shirt. The Australian later threw a ball towards the wicketkeeper and hit the Jamaican, who then threw his bat in Warne's direction.
