The 3-5 favourite She's A Maneater was one of four winners for reigning 18-time champion trainer Wayne DaCosta and one of two for 6-time former champion jockey Omar Walker as she landed the 5th running of the BGLC Diamond Mile at Caymanas Park on Saturday.
The 2017 winner, who bolted before the start and was subsequently declared a late non-starter last year, had no such mishap and put away her rivals including her previously undefeated stablemate Stranger Danger comfortably, winning her second Diamond Mile, having prevailed in the 2017 staging.
The 5 year old bay mare set a new stakes record of one minute, 35 and one fifth, winning by five lengths to give trainer DaCosta his fourth victory in the five year history of the Diamond Mile. He had won the first two stagings with Seeking My Dream.
Apprentices Christopher Mamdeen, Raddesh Roman, Kaiman McGregor and trainer Johnny Wilmot all had a double on the 13-race card. Racing continues next Saturday.
