Speid weighs in on draw for CONCACAF Caribbean Cup

Cavalier FC's Technical Director Rudolph Speid is describing his team's draw in Group 'B' of the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup as the group of death.

The group has Cibao FC of the Dominican Republic, Defence Force of Trinidad and Tobago, Juventus De-Cayes of Haiti and the still to be confirmed runner-up from the CFU Club Shield.

Mount Plesant FA is drawn in Group 'A' and Sporting Director,  Paul Christie says the competition is important to the club’s long term plans.

The group stage of the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup is set to kick-off on August 19.

Meanwhile, Arnett Gardens will be in Group "D" of the CONCACAF Club Shield competition after the draw that took place on Monday morning.

Despite the 24 teams drawn in four groups of 6, each team will only be playing two group games with the "Junglists" who are ranked numkber 1 in their group, playing Dublanc FC from Dominica and AC Port of Spain from Trinidad and Tobago.

Only the group winners will progress to the semi-finals with the finalists qualifying for the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup. The competition runs from July 26 to August 3 in Trinidad and Tobago.
