Tokyo Olympics 110m hurdles bronze medallist Ronald Levy on Friday confirmed via his instagram account that he was notified on November 2 that he returned a doping violation by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO).
The 31-year-old who only contested three hurdles races this year and ended with season best of 13.44 seconds, indicated that the adverse finding came from an out of competition test, which he did early last month.
Noting that he was stunned at the turn of events, Levy said he's now awaiting the result of his B sample, which he requested to be tested.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games champion did not reveal type or name of the substance for which he returned the adverse finding.
The sprint hurdler said he intends to defend his integrity during this process because he's certain he did not knowingly breach the rules.
Levy recently ended his 12-year association with the MVP Track Club and joined the Elite Performance group.
