St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) emerged the undisputed champion of rural schoolboy football on Saturday, defeating Garvey Maceo 4-1 to win the DaCosta Cup, in the final, staged in Montego Bay, St. James.
This is the second trophy for the 2013 season for STETHS, having already won the knock-out championship - the Ben Francis Cup.
The Santa Cruz based team will now prepare for the two-way Olivier Shield contest against Jamaica College, winner of the urban area Manning Cup, which is the equivalent of the DaCosta Cup.
The winner of the Olivier Shield is usually regarded as the best schoolboy team in the country.
