It was a battle of the "Light Blues" versus the "Dark Blues" for supremacy in the decisive semi-final of the ISSA Under-19 basketball competition on Tuesday at Jamaica College.
When the dust settled, it was the "Light Blues" of St George's College who got the better of Jamaica College, 59-51 to win the best of three series 2-1. Alexander Bailey led the scoring for St George's with 18 points. He was supported by Barrington Dennis with 14.
Jahlani Jones starred for JC with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Oritse Ikolo was next best with 11. Head coach of St George's College, Clifford Brown was elated that his players maintained composure in a tense fourth quarter. St George's College will now do battle with Campion College in Friday's final at the Campion College court.
