A stand-off between horse racing stakeholders and promoting company, Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) has resulted in the live local race meets set for this Saturday and Sunday at Caymanas Park being called off.
Stakeholders walked out of a meeting on Tuesday after deciding not to nominate horses for the weekend race meets.
SVREL is set to lose anywhere between $115 to $135 million in sales for the two days local racing will be shut down.
