Devon Thomas scored his second first class century as the Jamaica Scorpions scored their highest team total in this season's WICB Pro League on Saturday.
The Scorpions ended day two in a commanding position of 296 runs ahead of the Windward Islands Volcanoes at Arnos Vale in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Scorpions amassed 445 all out as Antiguan Thomas cracked 122 and shared in a 177 run sixth wicket partnership with captain Paul Palmer Junior who made his highest first class score of 82.
The Scorpions resumed on 284-5 with John Campbell smashing 135 on the opening day. At stumps, the Volcanoes were 149-5. Nikita Miller has so far snared 2-41.
Sunil Ambris has so far top-scored for the Volcanoes with an even 50. The Scorpions have so far garnered 5 points, 4 for batting and a bowling point.
Elsewhere, 28 year old Anguillan Montcin Hodge scored his maiden first class century as Leeward Islands Hurricanes posted 430 all out against leaders Guyana Jaguars at the Sir Viv Richards Ground in Antigua. Hodge was left unbeaten on 149.
The Jaguars in reply were 61-3 at stumps, 369 runs behind the Volcanoes entering Sunday's third and penultimate day.
At Couva, visitors Barbados Pride were in a strong position against the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force. The Red Force closed on 111-3, 285 runs behind the Pride which piled up 396.
Kraigg Brathwaite top-scored for the Pride with 123, adding 18 to his overnight 105.
