Titans lose to Thunder in West Indies Breakout League

The Leeward Islands Thunder toppled the Jamaica Titans by 6 wickets, as action continued on day two of the newly-formed West Indies Breakout T20 League at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago. After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Titans’ innings never fully got out of second gear, as they posted 123-6.

West Indies test player Kirk McKenzie with 34 and former West Indies U19 batsman Jordan Johnson 40, were the main run scorers for the Titans. The McKenzie and Johnson duo also shared in a 54 run second wicket partnership.

The Thunder got their target with 21 balls to spare, with captain Karim Gore unbeaten at the end on 34 after opener Kofi James top scored with 39. The Titans are next in action on Tuesday when they face the Guyana Rainforest Rangers
