Nesta Carter, the fourth fastest man in history, is targeting a return to his best after a sub-standard year in 2011.
After placing seventh in last summer's world championships in Daegu, Carter, with a time of 9.78 in 2010, is looking to bounce back in 2012.
Carter's coach Stephen Francis believes the Olympic and World Championship relay gold medalist will do better this year.
The 2010 World Indoor 60 metres finalist, is aiming to get back to his best, staring with a season opening 50 metres race in New York this Saturday.
