Former Dutch national team manager Louis Van Gaal has retired from coaching. The 65 year old who is also a former manager of Manchester United, has had a long run in the sport for 26 years.
Van Gaal made his retirement announcement after receiving a lifetime achievement award from the Dutch government for service in football. He has revealed family issues as the main reason for his sudden retirement.
During his tenure, Van Gaal has guided teams such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Ajax.
