Watson doubtful for National Trials

Report by RJRGLEANER Group Sports Reporter Jordan Forte

Racers Track Club head coach Glen Mills says world 400 metre champion Antonio Watson's qualification for the Paris Olympics is in doubt, noting that the 22 year old has not fully recovered from the injury which has kept him out for a large portion of the season.

Watson opted out of the 400 metres at Racers Grand Prix on June 1 through injury and has not competed since.

The 22 year old has a season's best of 45.61 seconds over 400m and 20.84 over 200m so far but coach mills says his charge's chances of qualifying for Paris are in serious doubt.
