The West Indies women began their tour of Australia with a four wicket win over a New South Wales X1 in a T20 encounter in Sydney on Thursday.
Karishma Ramharack 3-12 along with captain Hayley Matthews 2-7 and Allaiyah Alleyne 2-13, helped to restrict the New South Wales X1 to 105-9.
In pursuit, wicketkeeper Shemaine Campbelle with 33 from 34 balls and Matthews 24 took the visitors home at 106-6 with 13 balls to spare.
The Windies slipped to 74-6, but Alleyne 19 and Zaida James 15, guided the chase in the end.
Jamaicans Stafanie Taylor and Rashada Williams made three ball ducks each, while another Jamaican Chinelle Henry made 2.
The Windies women will play three T20 internationals and three One Day Internationals against Australia. The first T20 is on Saturday night in Sydney.
