Windies Youth player to lead Jamaica's U19 team

Captain and West Indies Under-19 representative Michael Frew is among the 14 players named in Jamaica's squad for this year's West Indies Under-19 tournament, set for July 24 to August 20 in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The squad also includes experienced campaigners Brad Barnes, Jevour Royal and Orandy Pearson. The team will be coached by former national batsman Ordelmo Peters.

Meanwhile, the prolific Raewin Senior along with West Indies invitee Kirk McKenzie and Dominik Samuels who is also included in the Under-19 aggregation, headline the national Under- 17 squad for the regional tournament in Trinidad and Tobago from July 8 - 18. This team will be coached by Clive Legister.

Romaine Jacob of Vere Technical, is the only player to have been named in both the national Under-15 and Under-17 teams.

The Under-15 tournament will be held in Grenada from July 8 - 18 with Robert Samuels as Jamaica's head coach.

Meanwhile, West Indies women's captain Stafanie Taylor, as well as Natasha McLean, Chedean Nation, Vanessa Watts and Chinelle Henry are part of the 14 member party for the regional women's championship in Guyana from July 3 - 25.
