World Boxing president impressed with "Gloves over Guns" initiative

President of World Boxing Boris Van Der Vorst has admitted to being impressed with the Jamaica Boxing Association (JBA) for their "Gloves over Guns" initiative aimed at helping to combat crime and violence targeting at risk youths.

Van Der Vorst is in Jamaica for a working visit  to see Jamaica's boxing first-hand and to determine how the world body can assist with taking the sport to another level locally, regionally and internationally. Van Der Vorst, who arrived in the island on Saturday, will conclude his visit on Wednesday.
