BLACKPINK hits 75 million subscribers on YouTube, holds title of most subscribed artiste

K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK has become the first musical act to reach the 75 million subscriber mark on the streaming platform YouTube.

The four-member group earned the title of the most subscribed artiste on the platform in September 2021, when they topped the 65.5 million mark, taking over the lead from pop star Justin Bieber.

Their popularity has since grown past 75 million, with Beiber in second place with 69.3 million subscribers and K-pop supergroup BTS in third with 68.7 million followers.

They became the first K-pop group to have 20 million subscribers and one billion views on a music video in 2019.

Their 2020 video for "How You Like That" earned a mind-blowing 86.4 million views on the first day, making it the biggest music video debut ever at the time.
