Jamaica's dancehall genre was again represented on streaming service Netflix, this time in their recent release First Kill.
The sound track for the series features Jamaican American musician Beam and British rapper Steflon Don.
Beam, who is the son of dancehall and gospel artiste Papa San, is featured in episode 6 with the single Mad Gaal, while Steflon Don, who is of Jamaican descent, is featured in episode eight with 16 Shots.
First Kill character Apollo Burns, played by actor Dominic Goodman, also promoted brand Jamaica by wearing a branded shirt during his scene in episode 6.
First Kill, which was released on the platform last Friday, follows the story of queer teen characters Calliope and Juliette, who fall in love, despite one being a vampire and the other a vampire hunter.
The eight-episode series is based on V.E. Schwab's New York Times bestselling short story in Vampires Never Get Old: Tales With Fresh Bite.
