One of R Kelly's victims has won a 4 million dollar judgement against the Bump n Grind singer following a Illinois Supreme Court ruling last week.
The money will be paid from his royalty account with Sony Music.
The court also ruled that the victim's claims should take precedence over a Chicago landlord who is owed $3.5 million by the Grammy award-winning singer.
Heather Williams filed a civil lawsuit against Mr Kelly in 2019, alleging that when she was 16 years old, the I Believe I Can Fly hitmaker lured her into his studio with promises that she could be in a music video and then repeatedly had sex with her as a minor.
His attorney is seeking to have the judgment overturned.
R Kelly was sentenced to two decades behind bars by a Chicago judge last month for his federal sexual assault case.
