BOJ says only two bids submitted for $2.5 billion in Monday's repurchase offer

The Bank of Jamaica has reported that only two bids were submitted for the $2.5 billion in repurchase agreements it offered to the market on Monday. 
 
The BOJ said it accepted the two bids for the full amount it was offering. 
 
The weighted average interest rate was 5.97% per annum while the highest bid submitted was 6% per annum for two billion dollars. The lowest bid was 5.9% per annum for 500 million dollars. 
 
The bank says the next auction will be on April 7.
