The Bank of Jamaica is reporting that Credit Information Services (CIS), one of the country's three credit bureaus, will be closing its operations due to intense competition from two other players.
The development comes just over a decade after CIS received its credit bureau licence in August 2014.
The other players in the sector are EveryData Jamaica and CRIF Information Bureau Jamaica Limited, which were both licensed in 2012.
