Grenada announces EC$36 million stimulus package

The Grenada government has announced EC$36 million economic stimulus package that is expected to benefit close to 9,000 nationals directly as well as 10,000 indirectly.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell, in a radio and television broadcast on Thursday night, said the government is in the advanced stages of preparation for the implementation of the package.

It is being funded through the Barbados-based Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) under the Inter-American Development Bank-CDB Global Loan Programme and the Grenada government.

He said the support programme is expected to be implemented in September.
