Industry Minister urges companies to train workers to fill available posts

Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce Aubyn Hill is redoubling the call for more local companies to train personnel to fill available posts.

Mr. Hill says there are 300,000 to 400,000 young Jamaicans in a prime position to be trained to bolster the local workforce.

He says the removal of fees for HEART/NSTA Trust courses up to level four, that is the Associate Degree level, should encourage more youth to pursue training opportunities.
