Jamaica's coffee industry is reporting increased output.
For 2022, coffee production increased by 5.1 per cent compared with the previous year.
Agriculture Minister Pearnel Charles Jr. says the industry is projected to see further growth in 2023.
Last year, 251,296 boxes of coffee were produced, with an export value of US$17 million.
The projection for the current crop is 264,900 boxes.
Mr. Charles says the incremental increase is "an encouraging sign of growth and progress in the industry".
