New data show more Jamaicans are conducting tax-related transactions online.
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says there was growth in eFiling which moved from 50,429 transactions in 2014/2015 to 135,554 in 2015/16.
TAJ says this can be attributed to education and service campaigns.
The campaign coincided with the Phase 2 roll-out of TAJ’s Revenue Administration Information System.
Taxpayers now have access to web services such as viewing their filing and payment history; creating a payment option; requesting refunds; initiating TRN applications as well as validating Tax Compliance Certificates.
