The National Housing Trust is calling for more private housing developers to partner with it under its Developers Programme to help tackle the shortage of affordable housing.
Under this programme, the NHT provides land, while the private developers are responsible for securing financing and the design and construction of the houses.
The developers may use the NHT's lands as collateral for their loans and the NHT then buys 80 per cent of the units while developers can sell the remaining 20 per cent.
