Slow negotiation angers CVM workers

Workers at CVM Television on Constant Spring Road in St Andrew are reportedly restive.

Lambert Brown, President of the University and Allied Workers' Union, told RJR News Friday afternoon that the workers are not content with the pace of ongoing salary negotiations.

CVM's management reportedly met with unions earlier this afternoon.

Garfield Harvey, third Vice President of the UAWU, says following a meeting on Friday, a new offer was put on the table.

“This was more in line with what the union would be willing to settle on and on that basis, we have decided to continue discussion on Monday. We expect that after that meeting, we would have completed the negotiations,” he said.
