The majority of Jamaicans who were employed during the first three months of this year worked in wholesale and retail, agriculture, forestry and fishing or real estate and knowledge process outsourcing sectors.
According to STATIN, wholesale and retail accounted for 255,900 workers; agriculture, forestry and fishing accounted for 192,600 while 158,200 people were employed in the real estate and knowledge process outsourcing sector.
There were 1.42 million people employed during the first three months of this year.
