The JSE Market Index gained 2,012 points on Wednesday, while the Junior Market fell by 23 points.
Some 61 stocks traded, of which 32 advanced, 21 declined and 8 traded firm.
MPC Caribbean Clean Energy led the advancers, followed by Margaritaville Turks, Carerras, JMMB Group 7.25% and The LAB.
The losers included 138 Student Living VR, JPS 7%, A.S. Bryden and Sons Holdings, Mayberry Jamaican Equities and Jamaica Fireglass Products.
