BOJ receives 4 bids worth J$2.3B offered for $1.5B in liquidity offered to financial institutions

The Bank of Jamaica says it received four bids, totaling J$2.3 billion on Monday for the $1.5 billion in liquidity it offered to financial institutions.
 
The central bank noted that the average interest rate institutions were willing to pay stood at 6.2 per cent per year.
 
The lowest bid was for $330 million, at 6.2 per cent, while the highest bid matched that rate but was for $1 billion.
