The TransJamaican Highway offer for the sale of shares has closed.
Members of the public were offered 1.7 billion shares, or 20 per cent of shares owned by the Government of Jamaica in the company.
Last week the National Road Operating & Constructing Company [NROCC] increased the original offer due to excessive demand, offering an additional 750 million shares.
The government expects to raise up to $9 billion from the sale of its remaining shares in the company.
TransJamaican Highway successfully raised $14.1 point one billion in the largest initial public offering on the Jamaica Stock Exchange in February 2020.
TransJamaican develops, operates and maintains the tolled road network in Jamaica, known as TransJam Highways.
The Company operates four toll plazas, located at May Pen, Vineyards, Spanish Town and Portmore.
