US equities markets fell again on Tuesday while investors awaited Wednesday's decision by the Federal Reserve Board on interest rates.
The bank is widely expected to announce a cut in US interest rates by 25 basis points at two o'clock, Wednesday.
European markets also closed lower, while investors awaited Wednesday's decision by the Fed and Thursday's by the Bank of England; as well as those by the Bank of Japan and the People's Bank of China later this week.
Asian equities markets also closed mixed on the decision by the Chinese Government to increase its fiscal deficit to four per cent of GDP in order to fund at least US$180 billion in fiscal stimulus.
