Eleven people were killed and several others injured when a public passenger bus capsized on Sunday in Haiti.
It is reported that the accident occurred in Grand'Anse, one of the 10 departments of the French-speaking Caribbean country.
The authorities said at least 20 people were injured as a result of the accident.
Meanwhile, police are also investigating a report that a truck carrying sand hit a lamp post on the outskirts of the capital Port-au-Prince damaging several houses before overturning.
They said two people died and one other person was seriously injured.
The driver of the vehicle is reported to have fled the scene.
