A 17-year-old boy was shot dead in Morass, Westmoreland on Thursday night.

He has been identified as Delano Spencer.

Three other people, including a four-year-old girl, were shot and injured.

It's reported that about 9:20 p.m., a section of a two bedroom board house in Hertford district was set on fire and the cccupants shot.

The teenager was pronounced dead in hospital.

The child, a man and a woman have been admitted in stable condition.

Assistant Commissioner Clifford Chambers, head of Area One Police Headquarters, said persons of interest have been taken into custody in relation to the quadruple shooting.

He said the police are investigating whether the attack was a reprisal for an incident that occurred two years ago.
