2nd suspect charged in connection with killing of Constable Jermaine Brown

A second suspect has been charged in connection with the murder of Police Constable Jermaine Brown.
 
Ramone Howell, 29, otherwise called "Trigger", a Tiler of Johnson Pen in Spanish Town, St Catherine, was charged on the weekend by the Major Investigation Division (MID).
 
He was captured last week in a major police-military operation in Johnson Pen.
 
Another suspect, 19 year-old Giovanni Findlay of Paul Mountain in Kitson Town, St. Catherine and Pelican in Discovery Bay, St. Ann was charged in the case on August 4.
 
Mr. Findlay, who was on bail for a previous offence, was apprehended on July 29 when he appeared in court. 
 
Both men have been charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
 
On July 19 Constable Brown, who was assigned to the Spanish Town Police Station, was driving on St Johns Road when his car was ambushed and shot up by three heavily armed men.
