Detectives assigned to the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Branch (C-TOC) seized 78,000 tubes and jars of assorted bleaching creams during an operation on Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew on Tuesday.
A man was arrested and charged with breaches of the Pharmacy Act, the Food and Drug Act as well as the Customs Act.
Between midday and 7:00 p.m., the police carried out a raid at an establishment when the bleaching creams were seized.
Some of the items were not registered with the Ministry of Health, while others were classified as List 2 and List 4 drugs which cannot be sold without a prescription.
