Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne has told voters that the country is months away from the next general election.
The main opposition United Progressive Party (UPP) has called for him to immediately announce an election date.
Mr. Browne, who addressed a Labour Day rally held by his Antigua Labour Party (ALP) and the Antigua Trades and Labour Union said there was need for continued stability in the country to ensure continued prosperity.
General elections were last held on March 21, 2018 with the ALP winning 15 of the 17 seats.
The UPP and the Barbuda People's Movement (BPM) won the other two seats.
