Body of 15 year old girl recovered from rubble of collapsed house in Shooter's Hill, St. Andrew

The body of the 15 year old Saneeka Leechman was found and recovered from under the rubble of her collapsed house in which she lived on Saturday morning.

The wooden house in Shooter’s Hill, St. Andrew collapsed under the force of a landslide during heavy rains on Friday.

Her body was found beneath the debris shortly before 11:30 a.m.

The teenager's father, 42 year old Romeo Leachman, also died in the incident.

Shortly before the girl’s body was found, her aunt, Rosemarie Leachman, told Radio Jamaica News that residents had resumed the search for her early in the morning.

Ms Leachman said the family was struggling to deal with the tragedy.
