Sunshine Girls Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard, Shanice Beckford and Kadie-Ann Dehaney and their West Coast Fever team have secured the minor premiership and the major semi-final at home in Australia's Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) League.
Fowler-Nembhard scored 63 goals from 66 attempts, as the Fever defeated the Giants 73-56 in Round 13 to extend their league record to 11 consecutive victories. The game also marked Dehaney's 100th league appearance.
Meanwhile, defending champions, the Adelaicde Thunderbirds with the Jamaican pair of Romelda Aiken-George and Latanya Wilson, remained on course for a top four placing after getting by the Melbourne Mavericks 60- 49.
Aiken-George had 49 goals from 55 attempts, while Wilson was brilliant at the defensive end with 9 interceptions, 12 gains and 9 deflections. Shimona Jok had 37 goals from 40 attempts for the Mavericks.
With one round of the regular season to go, the Fever remain atop the standings on 44 points, eight clear of the Swifts with Melbourne Vixens next on 32 and the Thunderbirds completing the top four on 28 points.
