A British national is scheduled to face the St. James Parish Court on Monday for breaching the Dangerous Drugs Act following the seizure of two kilograms of cocaine at Sangster International Airport on Saturday.
Charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, attempting to export cocaine and conspiracy to export cocaine is 20-year-old customer service agent Ashanta Ferguson, of West Midlands, England.
About 7 p.m. on November 19, Miss Ferguson was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom when her luggage was searched.
The cocaine valued at approximately $9.2 million was found in a false compartment.
