Cocaine weighing 4.4 pounds and valued at $15.5 million was seized on Wednesday in Newell, St. Elizabeth.
It was reported that the police were on patrol when they spotted three men whose behaviour aroused suspicion.
The men ran in different directions and were chased by the police.
Radio Jamaica News was told that a bag containing the cocaine fell from one of the men.
