A 48-hour curfew is in effect for sections of Richmond, St. Mary.
The security measure began 6pm yesterday and will remain in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday.
The areas of the curfew are north along an imaginary line at the Beecham Hill community, travelling east to a section of Richmond Town.
East along an imaginary line at a section of Richmond town centre, travelling south to a section of Zion Hill.
The security measure also covers south along an imaginary line at a section of Zion Hill, travelling west to a section of Essex, Flint River and west along an imaginary line at a section of Essex, Flint River, travelling north to a section of the Beecham Hill community.
The authorities are also reminding residents within the boundaries of the curfew that they are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
The curfew comes two weeks after a police constable attached to the St. Andrew North Division was alleged to have fatally shot 21-year-old D'Johnnay Graham, an assistant teacher, with his service pistol before attempting to kill himself on June 25.
That incident spiralled when two people were killed at a candlelight vigil for Ms. Graham.
