Radio Jamaica News has been informed that the two policemen accused of robbing two Chinese business operators of nearly $15 million were captured at Norman Manley International Airport on Wednesday evening.
It's reported that the cops had booked flights destined for the United States when they were captured by members of a special police team.
A senior investigator told Radio Jamaica News that the two cops will be placed on an identification parade.
He said CCTV footage assisted investigators in identifying the constables who are assigned to the St. Andrew South Police Division.
It's reported that about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday June 6, the two Chinese nationals were at their wholesale when they were visited by the two police officers dressed in plain clothes.
The policemen showed their ID and presented a document they said was a warrant from the Constant Spring Police for the property to be searched for uncustomed goods.
They were granted access to the business establishment.
It's alleged that they searched the property and made off with J$8.5 million along with US$40,000 from a metal filing cabinet. They also took an iPhone.
