The local governing body for tennis is not only overseeing the prowess of young players in competition, but also their wellbeing off the court.

Tennis Jamaica is actively pursuing avenues to ensure that the nation's young players are protected from all forms of abuse by preventing harm and promoting their overall development.

The aim is to fall in-line with international best practice of safeguarding in sport.

As such, director at Tennis Jamaica, Joseph Dibbs says the organization is mandating that all coaches get certified as in order to coach locally.
