COVID-19 cases rise to 569 while recoveries reach 279

Jamaica's COVID-19 cases have risen to 569 after five new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. 
 
The five new cases include four females and a male with ages ranging from 32 to 46 years. They are residents of Manchester, St. James, Kingston & St. Andrew and St. Catherine. 
 
Three of the cases are imported - one who was recently repatriated on Royal Caribbean Cruise's Adventure of the Seas and two others from a group that returned from the US on May 13.
 
The other two new cases are under investigation. 
 
There are now 75 imported cases; 214 that are contacts of confirmed cases; 27 locally transmitted cases that are not epidemiologically linked; 235 cases linked to Alorica call centre; and 18 under investigation.  
 
In the meantime, 12 more people have recovered from the coronavirus. The total number of recoveries now stands at 279.
