District Constable sentenced to two years in prison for wounding teen

 
District Constable Dean Hyman has been sentenced to two years imprisonment after being found guilty of wounding an 18 year old girl in Christiana, Manchester in 2016.
 
The verdict was handed down in the Manchester Parish Court on Thursday.
 
The attorney representing Hyman indicated his intention to appeal the ruling. 
 
The District Constable was subsequently granted bail in the sum of $200,000 pending his appeal.
 
Hyman was charged on August 23, 2017, with shooting the teenager on December 8, 2016. 
 
She was shot in the leg following an interaction with Hyman at a plaza.
